Guard Requests and Events
During
our June 3, 2008 Naperville Council Business Meeting, Father Thomas A. Milota,
Pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, was presented with the Bishop Romeo
Blanchette Assembly Clergy of the Month Award for May 2008 in recognition of his
service as an inspiration to his Parish, Community and the Assembly.

FOURTH
DEGREE EVENTS
At
our March 4 Council Business Meeting, Father Thomas A Milota was
presented with a Fourth Degree Chaplin's lapel pin in recognition of
his office with our Council; and as a memento of his Exemplification
and in appreciation for his outstanding support of our Order, a Fourth
Degree Sir Knights sword.
Congratulations to our newest Sir Knights Exemplified on February 16,
2008: Father Thomas A.Milota, Pastor, Saints Peter and Paul Parish;
Bill Beckwith; Brendan Heffron; Pete Lichter; Tom Rehak; and John
Schuriemen.
January 19 - Thomas A. Dooley Assembly Officers personally presented
Assembly Officers' Jewels, which it had donated, to the officers of
the recently formed Bishop Romeo Blanchette Assembly at a dinner
hosted by the Saint Joan of Arc Parish in Lisle, Illinois.
November 10 - 2007 Memorial Mass for all deceased Fourth Degree Sir
Knights, St John the Baptist Parish, Winfield, Illinois, Jim Snyder
represented Naperville Council 1369. Among those remembered:
Naperville Council Sir Knights, Richard G Koretke (50 years
service)and Adrian W Lauth (77years service).
November 10 - Supreme Council, Knights of Columbus, donated 500
wheelchairs to veterans in need at Hines VA in Maywood, Illinois
attended by an Honor Guard 0f 74 Sir Knights. The program included four
locations, one each in Illinois,North Texas, Washington, DC and Los
Angeles, CA and consisted of an overall donation of 2,000 wheelchairs
valued at $1 million.
BISHOP
ROMEO BLANCHETTE ASSEMBLY
Naperville Council 1369 voted unanimously to join the the Bishop Romeo
Blanchette Assembly, No. 3044 on June 5, 2007.
Councils comprising the new Assembly: Robert Weaver (#6710),Aurora;
Corpus Christi (#10958), Carol Stream; Robert L Connelly (#5918),
Lisle/Woodridge; Naperville (#1369) and St Raphael (#14171),Naperville;
St Irene (#6710), Warrenville; and Fr Michael J McGivney (#8002),
Winfield.
Any Sir Knight, individually, who wishes to join the new Assembly along
with our Council may submit a properly completed Form 4 electing to
Transfer to the new Assembly. Form 4s are available at our Business
Meetings. Those Sir Knights who wish to retain their membership to the
Dr Thomas A Dooley Assembly and do not wish to join the new Assembly
need do nothing.
